Amex is a premium card. It gets you into airport lounges, earns you 5x points at restaurants, and has the best fraud protection in the industry. None of that matters at online casinos.

You Cannot Withdraw to Amex
This is the biggest gap. Money goes in, but it does not come back out the same way.
Amex credit card withdrawals are blocked network-wide. The only exception is bet365, which pays out to Amex debit cards in 1-4 hours. Should you use Amex at a casino?
Probably not. We say that as people who tested all 15 casinos on this page. Amex charges you more, gets declined more often, and will not let you withdraw. The fraud protection is excellent but it is not worth the 7%+ effective cost of a deposit at an offshore site.
