Responsible Gambling

Gambling should be entertainment, not a source of income. If it stops being fun, stop playing. This page lists resources and tools to help you stay in control.

Warning Signs

You may have a problem if you:

  • Spend more money or time gambling than you planned
  • Chase losses by betting more to try to win back money
  • Borrow money or sell things to gamble
  • Feel anxious, irritable, or restless when not gambling
  • Lie to family or friends about how much you gamble
  • Neglect work, school, or responsibilities because of gambling
  • Gamble to escape problems or relieve stress

Tools Available at Most Casinos

Deposit Limits

Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits on how much you can deposit. Available at all regulated US casinos.

Session Time Limits

Set a timer that alerts you after a certain amount of play time. Some casinos will log you out automatically.

Self-Exclusion

Block yourself from a casino for a set period (6 months, 1 year, or permanently). You cannot reverse this during the exclusion period.

Reality Checks

Pop-up reminders that show how long you have been playing and how much you have won or lost in the session.
